Dry pavement

I almost choked when I looked out my window this morning and saw the sky. Not just "the sky," but the entire blue, cloudless, rain free sky. Riding to work felt like being in the eye of a hurricane. Too calm. Too perfect. A moment of peace between the swirling storms. Looking upwards, I was reminded of the movie 2010 when Jupiter became the newest sun in the sky. It felt great, but...not quite normal.

Ironically, the papers today reported that this is the wettest November on record and we're only half-way through.
